Rick Perry's "Army of God"

Patrick Archbold notes the collective conniption the left and their media cohorts are having over Rick Perry and the very notion that he might ... gasp! ... take his religious faith seriously:
... Obama has often mentioned Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount (including at Georgetown University) to make the case for his economic policies. In fact, the Politico ran a piece entitled "Barack Obama invokes Jesus more than George W. Bush."

So why is there no worry about Obama infusing religion into his politics? Ah, that's easy. Because the media believes that Obama's Christianity is only used to advance his politics while they fear that Perry's politics are actually informed by his Christianity. In short, he means it. And that scares the heck out of them.

When his pastor gleefully celebrates the results of 9/11 and asks God to damn America rather than bless it, get back to me. I might show some concern about his religious views at that point.

Rick Perry doesn't takes religion seriously. He proposed that girls in Texas be required to be vaccinated for a venereal disease in 2006, which would have been a big source of moral hazard, not to mention tyrannical. Sorry, but Ron Paul can be taken more seriously on morality than Perry.
